Les Paul

It may be the the 40th anniversery of Woodstock and VJ Day. But, there is something to be sad about. Les Paul died yesterday (Aug. 13) at age 97. For those who don't know, Les Paul invented the electric guitar.

Happy 40th anniversery of the most famous and legendary concert of all time, Woodstock music and arts fest! Now, if you don't know what woodstock is then you've been living under a rock for the last 40 years! But, I'll tell you any way. Woodstock music and arts fest was a hippy gathering basically. It took place for three days starting on Friday, Aug. 15 and ended on Sunday, Aug. 17 on Max Yasgur's farm in Bethel, New York. Woodstock included such famous artists and bands as Santana, Janis Joplin, Sly & The Family Stone, Johnny Winter, Jefferson Airplane, Crosby, Stills and, Nash, Jimi Hendrix, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Joe Cocker, the Greatful Dead, The Who, and many others.
